With my new front door scheduled to arrive next week, I'm thinking about how to decorate my entryway. Technically it's a part of the living room. The only thing that delineates it from the pine floored living area is a little rectangle of tiles between the door and the closet. There is some wallspace between the door and the window, and I've been thinking of putitng up some shelves, maybe a little key hook. Then I saw this photo and thought that one of these vertical bookshelves might work really well, because, small as it is, it might serve as a little visual seperation wall between the entryway and the living room. And if we build it ourselves, we could build in a little charging station for our phones right by the door. Maybe add a few little baskets and containers for the kids to drop in their outdoor finds of rocks and pinecones and little sticks.
